Authentication overview
To get started using the Surfsight API, first authenticate yourself by generating an authentication token. The authentication token gives you temporary access to the API operations according to your user type, as described in User types. If you make a request using an API operation that you don't have access to, an error is returned.
Authentication tokens only work for the region to which you are registered. This means that a user registered to the US cloud receives tokens for that cloud, and cannot access the EU cloud.
Note
There is also a media token used to request permission for live video or recording access. For more information, see Stream and download device recordings or Stream live video.
